What I'm Reading

1/31/2018

I read a lot. Here are the books I'm digging through for January 2018. Note: these aren't in any order, the list is incomplete, and some are Advanced Reader Copies.

Write Like A Boss
Definitely about writing -- hence the title. It's a nice book, not going to lie and say I'm falling in total love with it. If anything, it truly felt like I should have read it a year or two ago.
Pro: gives some good advice on establishing a writer mindset and goals
Con: bit too late for me (but maybe not for you)
Roseland: Series One Complete
A Vegas prostitute turned Private Eye. Honestly, these are seriously fun reads. Each ties directly into the next one, so purchasing as a series is the better call.
It's kind of like reading a Stephanie Plum book since Ginger gets herself into a bunch of bad situations, but without any sex or a love interest.
I highly recommend if you want something FUN to read. Note: minor swearing.

Lights Out Lucy by Elicia Hyder
Elicia is letting me read Lights Out Lucy as an Advanced Reader. I don't have any links or a cover to share. Let me just say that I want to take up roller skating and even roller derby because of this silly romance. Lucy can't do anything without nearly killing herself and her guardian aka West, the hunk, has his hands full as a result.
I'll let you know when this one is available for purchase because you are going to love it!
January in a nutshell has been slim reading. It's like I read too much over Christmas break and my brain is tired. But February is around the corner. Catch you next month!

Happy Birthday, Mom!
