Finger Weaving with Craft Loops

The last week of school the OTHER kindergarten class learned how to weave with craft loops. My eldest, who is extremely interested in all things crafty, wanted to learn too. 

We have a huge bag of craft loops from a birthday present plus 2 refills. I figured that I could reverse engineer how the bracelets were made...

Then I wised up and did an internet search. BOOM! Instant directions with pictures and a video. I followed the information at Chica Circle and had a headband made within 10 minutes. Since all the info you need is over at Chica Circle, I'm not reposting it here.

The toddler got in on the action...

Her fingers are a little on the small side. We got exactly 4 loops into place when she decided she'd rather make her own bracelet.

As long as she's having fun, I don't push her. There's plenty of time in life to learn finger weaving or finger knitting...

When big sissy got home, remember this was during the last week of school, we tried it together.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with how easy this project was to put together and get done. It totally helped that I had all of the supplies already. (Thanks, Meme for the present.)
