It is the President's job to nominate a person to fill an empty Supreme Court seat. Telling the world and, more importantly, the people of this country that he should not because it is an election year is about the dumbest thing you could say. Taking the statement further and claiming that we should wait because the people need to voice their opinion, well now that's both ridiculous and dumb. The people of this country already spoke. Twice. With decisiveness and a clear majority. I'm not such a Christian. I am, however, a voter who is epically tired of the partisan bullshit and whiny behavior that our political "leaders" engage in. Seriously, adults who fail to behave with more composure than a 4-year-old child pitching a fit in the grocery store do not deserve to lead our country. This issue isn't exclusive to Republicans. Both sides do it and it needs to stop. The decided lack of unity not only destroys our country from the inside out, it destroys our standing in the world. Here's what I'm going to do, and I strongly encourage everyone else to follow suit, urge our lawmakers in BOTH parties to act like adults. Punish them when they fail or behave like stubborn, recalcitrant brats. Use your vote.
This is how I plan to use mine: Republicans genuinely consider the nominee for Supreme Court justice or I vote Democrat. Down the line. For life. Just like the appointment of a Supreme Court justice. It'd make my life easier. I'd never have to pay attention to what Republicans say or their concerns. But it'd be a terrible consequence since I'm a split voter. #useyourvote #republicansonnotice
