![]() First time for everything. I published a knitting pattern for a Minion Beanie on Craftsy.com. The beanie is knitted flat and then sewn up the back. It can be made with scrap amounts of yarn in any weight (just add more strands if using a lighter weight yarn to get close to worsted weight). The ear flaps are lined. Each ear piece is knitted first followed by the main body. The Minion eye is crocheted and added at the end. You can make more than one eye, if desired. Recommend circular knitting needles but they aren't required. (Note: pattern is knitted flat.) My 40th birthday is on the horizon. I'm looking forward to being "over the hill" despite the fact that I don't consider 40 to be the halfway point. But here's a look at my first truly geriatric present: a daily pill container. In PURPLE! Totally excited.
Why? Since my youngest is a whopping 3 months old, my memory is shot. I can only focus on so many things and the number is lower than pre-baby. Now I won't have to guess if I took my pills--which is pretty much what I do every day right now. And it's purple! Who doesn't like purple? I mean other than my toddler. |
