Let's just jump right into it.
Unless someone says something, I'm going to drop down on my write-ups. Since we re-read so many of the same books, I'm only going to talk about a book that's new or if we're utilizing it in a "new-to-us" way. I don't want to bore you with repetition (or the fact that I do read Doc McStuffin at least twice a week and often daily). My husband gets stuck reading it a lot too.
Yes, I know there is still a month left to the school year. Kindergarten has been hard for us. Daily homework was beyond unexpected. I've been given a list of what my eldest needs to know BEFORE entering Grade 1. Let's just say that I am not pleased. I might as well be homeschooling her...
Which is the point, in a way, to this section. I've received a nice supply of Grade 1 teacher materials from a friend who recently moved. The timing is perfect. So, for the summer, I will be homeschooling my kids. I'll be posting about what I'm using (and it'll be the gifted stuff) and how it's going.
That's it for today. I think it's enough. If you homeschool or are interested in trialing it with us for the summer, let me know. I'd love to chat with you.
