After saving for 8 years, we finally turned our backyard into a money pit. Not kidding.

But it in the process, we learned the preschooler likes sand.

At first it was simply a pile of it near where the landscaper worked.

We even through a party and had another kid over to play in the sand.
When it came time to use that sand, well, let's just say the preschooler was vocal about how bad that idea was.

So the landscaper built her another pile on a tarp her dad put down on the grass nearby. This did alright. She was even willing to cover the sand pile herself at night.

Then ants moved in. I can still hear the outraged screeches at the ants.

So so we removed the beans from her turtle shaped bean box, transported it out to the backyard from our garage, and put ant-free sand in it. Finally. Done.

Do do you think she'll lose interest within a week?
